On Friday, Dayanand College hosted a Guru Vandan program under the aegis of the Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh. The keynote speaker, Dr. Anil Gupta, emphasized the significance of the guru in Indian knowledge traditions, citing examples from the Mahabharata, Ramayana, Vedic hymns, and other texts that highlight the unique bond between guru and disciple. He noted that sages and scriptures have played a pivotal role in establishing India’s knowledge tradition as the world’s finest. Dr. Gupta stressed that gurus are the cornerstone of social transformation and urged efforts to make India the world’s largest economy and achieve supreme glory. The program began with Principal Dr. Laxmikant Sharma welcoming Dr. Gupta. Dr. Mahavir Prasad expressed gratitude, and Dr. Harikrishna Sen moderated the event.
