Introduction of college.
The origin of Dayanand Mahavidyalaya is unique in many ways. This college is one of the best educational institutions in India. The objective of its educational program is the all-round development of the personality of the student, the education system here can be called five-faced education which includes physical, practical, decorative, moral and intellectual education which creates an integrated personality of the student. Dayanand College, Ajmer has held a special place in the field of education for years.
Around 27,00 students are studying in the campus spread over approximately 250 acres of land and agricultural farms. The college was taken over by the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi in the year 2000. The college building is a grand and wonderful example of architecture, built with beautiful Jodhpur stones.
On one side of the main building there is the Aravalli mountain range and on the other side huge agricultural farms and pastures are visible which attracts and fascinates anyone. Many former students of the college have brought glory to the college and the country in the country and abroad by getting education from here.
Establishment and development
This college is renowned as the oldest and only prestigious college in the state of Rajasthan. Established in 1942 to propagate the education and values of the great Yogi Swami Dayanand ji, this college is providing useful education to students and society. Every year about 2700 students are studying in this college and serving the nation by holding important positions. The pride of the college is its library which has a collection of 1.5 lakh books and magazines. The college has separate hostel arrangements for boys and girls coming from outside. If Lala Surajbhan called Dayanand Mahavidyalaya a mini university, then there is no exaggeration in it because here an immense storehouse of education and knowledge and facilities are provided to the students. Since 2000, under the guidance of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, Dayanand Mahavidyalaya, Ajmer is setting new records every day in the field of education
