The cowshed in Dayanand Mahavidyalaya was constructed in 1956. It was a part of the Faculty of Agriculture called Animal Husbandry, this cowshed was built by Arya Samaj President Dattatreya Wable. Milk was supplied to the city from this cow shed of Dayanand Mahavidyalaya. The Gaushala currently constructed in the Dayanand College campus was renovated and inaugurated by Arya Shiromani Padmashree Dr. Poonam Suri on 3 July 2022.
After Corona 2020, the cow shed was conserved and re-established by Principal Dr. Laxmikant Sharma. Today Gaushala is providing information about cow, goat, chicken, duck to the students of Agriculture Faculty. Milk is still supplied from the dairy farm of the Gaushala. At present the Gaushala has 60 cows, 245 goats, 608 chickens and many ducks.
