
Lecture on World Human Rights Day at Dayanand College
The lecture on World Human Rights Day 2024 at Dayanand College, organized by the Postgraduate Political Science Department, focused on the significance of human rights in both historical and contemporary contexts. The event began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Principal Dr. Laxmikant welcomed the keynote speaker, Dr. Sudhir Kumar Garhwal, Assistant Professor at Rajasthan Central University, with a bouquet, memento, and shawl.Dr. Garhwal emphasized the importance of remembering ancient, well-established traditions that upheld human rights. He discussed constitutional provisions for protecting and promoting human rights, stressing the need to raise voices against violations. He referenced recent events in Bangladesh to highlight ongoing human rights issues and underscored the necessity of equal rights for all, regardless of caste, religion, sex, or color. Dr. Gajendra Singh from the Department of Biotechnology, Central University of Rajasthan, also attended. Vice Principal Dr. Mrityunjay Kumar Singh expressed gratitude to the guests and attendees.The event saw participation from faculty members, including Dr. Rafiq Khan, Dr. Anu Sharma, Dr. Unnati, Dr. Kavita, Dr. Pradeep, Bhupendra Jaiswal, Dr. Preeti, Dr. Shweta, Dr. Amrita, Dr. Nutan, Dr. Asha, Dr. Ritu, Deepa Harwani, Akash, Chandrabhan, and Dr. Arpit.
