Inauguration of the 38th Inter-College Wrestling Competition at Dayanand College, Ajmer

The 38th Inter-College Wrestling Competition commenced at Dayanand College on Tuesday. State Minister and Chairman of the Devnarayan Board, Shri Omprakash Bhadana, graced the inaugural session as the chief guest.Addressing the athletes, Minister Bhadana encouraged them by saying that victory and defeat are part of sports. Players should neither become overjoyed in victory nor disheartened in defeat. They must consistently deliver their best performance—this is the true essence of sports. Emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swadeshi movement, he urged public and athlete participation, stating that “Nation first, Swadeshi first” should be the guiding principle. Using indigenous products will help make India self-reliant, enabling the country to stand eye-to-eye with developed nations on the global stage. In today’s time, Swadeshi is the mantra for India’s self-reliance.College Principal Dr. Laxmikant motivated the players and highlighted the institution’s sporting legacy, calling Dayanand College the largest hub for sports. He assured athletes of comprehensive facilities and support. Dr. Laxmikant welcomed Minister Bhadana with a garland, bouquet, and memento. University nominee Ramnivas Choudhary was welcomed by Bharat Bhushan Upadhyay.College Sports Officer Dr. Kuldeep Singh Shekhawat expressed gratitude to all guests.A total of 170 athletes from 20 colleges are participating in the competition.
