Dayanand College celebrated World Ocean Day.
On 8 June 2024, World Ocean Day was celebrated by the Department of Zoology under the aegis of Nature Club in Dayanand Mahavidyalaya. On this occasion, a paper reading activity was organized for the students of MSc on the utility of the ocean.The chief guest, Principal Dr. Laxmikant, informed about the efforts made by UNO to prevent the ocean from getting polluted and also made the students aware to stop plastic pollution in the reservoirs.Department Head Dr. Sonia Joseph, while explaining the importance of the ocean, said that 70% of the earth is made up of oceans, which are the habitat of various aquatic animals and this day is celebrated to create awareness about humans and the ocean.During the program, paper reading was done by the students of MSc Zoology Department, Varsha Yadav, Priya Nuwad, Kiran Kumari, Simran Kataria, Varsha Chauhan.The program was conducted by Dr. Tasleem Akhtar andThe vote of thanks was passed by Dr. Sanchita Rose.
